New Smartphone Xiaomi Wear Samsung OLED Screen?

Apple does not appear to be the only factor in Samsung's OLED smartphone display business expansion. The reason, according to a recent report, Xiaomi already signed an agreement on the OLED screen with Samsung.

Reported by Phone Arena on Wednesday (7/19/2017), the core agreement of both companies is Samsung will supply millions of 6-inch OLED panel for flagship smartphone Xiaomi next year. This deal follows the failure of cooperation with LG Display, due to delays in the construction of new plants.

Furthermore, OLED screen shipments will begin in December 2017 with an initial supply of one million units. Then more than 2.2 million the following month.

So far there has been no confirmation from both companies about the deal. On the other hand, the latest smartphone Xiaomi called will use 6-inch screen is Mi 7. Smartphone with the code name Chiron is believed to be a flagship Xiaomi next year.

Xiaomi Chiron had previously surfaced on the internet. But in a report earlier this month, Chiron will use screens from Japan Display Inc. (JDI).

Xiaomi Party also has not open a voice about Chiron, so it can not be ascertained whether the smartphone that will use the Samsung OLED screen or any other product.
